We did it!

Wes, Helen and I swam 2 miles in the most choppy water we have ever swam in at Windermere for the Great North Swim.

Thank you so much Huub for the fabulous pack containing a wetsuit, swimming costume, swim cap and goggles.

There are so many benefits of wild swimming. My favourite one being that it encourages you to be present in the moment. You can focus on the sensation of the water, the sounds of nature, and your own breath. This practice of mindfulness can help quiet racing thoughts and create a sense of calm, making wild swimming a perfect escape from life’s distractions.

In our increasingly digital world, we often lose touch with nature. Wild swimming offers a chance to reconnect with the natural environment, fostering a sense of peace and grounding. This connection can remind us of our place in the world, helping to combat feelings of isolation and anxiety.

If you would like to join us on our next wild swimming adventure, get in touch via our email as we're already thinking about the next challenge.
